Tears of Repentance
Mary washed the feet of Jesus with her tears of repentance and poured out her costly oil as a sacrificial offering unto the Lord. Her tears, mixed with the fragrance of the perfume, became a pleasing aroma to the One she adored.

“Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.”
— John 12:3

This painting depicts Mary kissing the feet of Jesus and weeping tears of repentance. In our own lives, there are moments of divine encounter that shift the course of everything—a sacred turning point. I painted this piece with the heart that it might help each person remember their own moment of encounter with the Lord.
