This painting of Jesus on the cross speaks of how He felt in that moment.
It speaks of why He would die on the cross, and what He died for.
The tear running down His face shows the agony he experiences emotionally and physically.
The people in the cross represent the sins that he died to clear.
And the way He looks up to Heaven retells the prayer He was praying in that moment,
when He asked His Father in Heaven to forgive us,
for we did not know what we did.
This is love.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
