As we are holding onto the Lord Jesus’s hand in this painting, He is pulling us up as our only hope of salvation. By His sacrifice on the cross, we are saved. He bore all of the world’s sin, represented by the people within the cross. “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”  John 14:6
