The Awakening Call

This painting is a prophetic reminder of the very times we are living in, now. God has called us to AWAKEN from our slumber, and fill ourselves up with the True Light of the Creator. For too long, we have been deceived and living without prophetic discernment. God is awakening the sleeping prophet in all of us, to give us eyes to see and ears to truly hear!

In Ancient Persia, the rooster was seen as a good-natured spirit that crowed at dawn to signal a turning point in the cosmic struggle between the forces of darkness and light. In Ancient Rome, chickens and roosters were taken into battle as a good-luck token of courage. Like the rooster, we also have a calling to courageously awaken the world around us with a signal of Light that streams from our being. We are called to be the salt and light of the Earth!

We are in this world, but not of this world! We all have this light of God inside of us, and the brighter we shine, the more others can see our light, even if they are in darkness. The Awakening Call is a painting about having the courage to awaken ourselves, then awaken the world around us. The rooster in the painting is covered with divine light from the stars, and he crows at dawn to signify the coming of the Sun, AKA the SON of God. It takes courage to herald this calling from the midst of darkness. May we all embody the spirit of the rooster in these times. We are all in this together, Praise God!
